Circle C Ranch (also known as Circle C) is a large master-planned community in southwest Austin area. It is located only 10 minutes from downtown Austin. Conveniently located on S. Mopac (HWY 1) and Slaughter Lane.
Development of Circle C started in 1983 and the first homes were built in 1987. Today, Circle C Ranch includes more than 4,700 homes. Amenities include a 18-hole golf course called Grey Rock Golf Club and tennis club, a swim center, a fire station, and over 500 acres (2.0 km2) of dedicated parkland. The Circle C Swim Center has a year-round, outdoor, Olympic-size heated pool, the only one of its kind in Texas. They are starting to break ground for the second pool center in Circle C next to Clayton Elementary that will be open next summer 2011.
The Circle C area is home to the new shopping center, Escarpment Village with a 93,000 square foot H-E-B grocery store. There are a few other restaurants: Waterloo Icehouse, Mangieri's Pizza Café, Santa Rita, Satellite Bistro and Bar, Subway, and Thai, you can drop off your dry cleaning and get your nails done all within walking distance!

Schools within the Circle C area are Bowie High School, Kiker Elementary School, Clayton Elementary School, and Gorzycki Middle School. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Veloway are also located in the Circle C area.
